A Pair of Shoes - Fiction Story

One day, deep in someone’s thought, there was a story of a pair of shoes. There was a girl, little-chubby-girl, and his mom bought a pair of new shoes in a store. “Thank you very much, Mommy! I love these shoes very much! I will wear it every day and keep it always clean,” she said. “You’re welcome, honey. You’re so beautiful with it,” her mom replied. The shoes were very beautiful, the color was red and the size was not big because she was a little girl. She loved her shoes very much. Although it was not expensive, the shoes were very comfortable.

Will English Lesson Still Be Effective In Curriculum 2013?

Department of Education in Indonesia has repeatedly changed the curriculum. Public often judge that the change of Minister of Education will be followed by the change of the policy. Education Unit Level Curriculum (=Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan/ KTSP) will be replaced by the Curriculum 2013 in this July 2013. The reason is the failure of some schools to implement KTSP. The educators do not fulfill the teaching requirements demanded by KTSP such as lesson plans (RPP) and syllabus. Even if they have it they just buy and do not teach the way that is written on it. So, the Department of Education assessed it as a failure in the implementation of KTSP. This new curriculum is considered as a process to improve the quality of education. Students are directed to be more creative in learning with observation based learning method and forming networking. However, there are some lessons which are reduced the hours of lesson on the grounds of efficiency and effectiveness in Curriculum 2013, one of which is the English subject. Thus, if the government applied Curriculum 2013 in Senior High School, I believe that English lesson would not be effective anymore because four aspects (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) in English would not be achieved, teachers should compress the material, and the compression of the material could not be absorbed by some students optimally.

Writing Assignment

My Passion

If someone asks me about my strongest passion, honestly, I am confused to decide. Although I read a lot of articles about how to decide my truly passion, I still cannot decide. Those articles say that passion is not only about what you love but also something that develop the skill you have in order to reach something with it. Then I try to realize what my passion is.

Process (Paragraph)

Raining Process

Raining process is a water cycle that happens in the earth. It is simply explained that the water moves from the ocean, sea, river, and lake to the atmosphere and goes back to the land. Here is the process. First of all, the water is evaporated by the heat of the sun. The second is the water vapor will condense and become moisture. Next, the moisture that consists of the waterdrops will be united and form clouds. Then, the clouds is blown by the wind. It can move everywhere and make small clouds unite with the bigger clouds. After that, more waterdrops united; the color of the clouds will be darker. Finally, since the clouds become more heavy with the waterdrops, tje waterdrops will fall to the land as rain.

Recount Text (Paragraph)

On February 4th, 2015, my friends and I planned to go to a tea garden in Samigaluh, Kulon Progo. We went there by motorbikes. Since we arrived there, we took many pictures and videos because the view was so good and green. After we enjoyed the view and some snacks we continued our vacation to a waterfall named Grojogan Watu Jonggol. To go there was out of our plan, so we did not bring any clothes and we could not play in the water or get wet. However, we enjoyed the view there and the sounds of the waterfall itself. We did not spend our time too much there because it started clouded. I really enjoyed every vacation with my friends.

Why I Love Writing

There are some reasons why I love writing. First of all, writing can help me to remember some things I have done in my life. I write the things that I do not want to forget on my journal so that one day I can re-read them and go back to the moments written. The second reason is I love to see my own handwriting. Some people especially my friends of senior high school always borrow my notebook or ask me to write on the whiteboard. The third is because I can write the unspoken words. I can write anything I want to write without anyone knows. I can hide my handwriting but I cannot hide my words I have spoken. In conclusion, I love writing because my handwriting can explain my unexpressed feelings and my unspoken words.
